Steven Dean Patrick McCloskey, 22, and Liam Patrick James Campbell, 30, both from Molesworth Street, Cookstown, have been charged with the attempted murder of a male on Monday 12th November. Police have said the victim, a 33-year-old male, was stabbed in a house in the Killymoon Street area, sustaining wounds which are serious but not life threatening. It is understood that he is a foreign national. In Court a detective constable confirmed that she could connect both men to the charge. Campbell and McCloskey struck up a conversation in the dock until they were told to be quiet by prison staff. There was no application for bail and District Judge Meehan remanded both accused in custody to appear by video-link on 12th December.
